Berry Springs
Berry Springs includes a diverse range of habitat and options. In addition, from the depths of the earth, clear geothermal waters rise to the surface and cascade over a small waterfall. This creates the perfect opportunity to sit and enjoy a relaxing water massage. At Berry Springs we provide muffins and a morning coffee.
Note: Berry Springs is usually seasonally closed from November to end of April and as such will not be included in the itinerary during this time.
Litchfield National Park
After Berry Springs it is time to explore Litchfield National Park . Known for its diversity and abundance of great waterfalls such as Florence Falls, Wangi Falls and Tolmer Falls. It also home to unique wetlands, stone country, ravines, gorges, cathedral termites, magnetic termites and much more.
Batchelor Township
Batchelor is a melting pot of personal stories of the people and events which shaped the NT. Such things as WWII, uranium mining for nuclear weapons, farming research, indigenous education and life and times of the pioneering people who live here and first nation people who call it home.
Located 98 kilometres south of Darwin, just off the Stuart Highway and with a population of around 500, Batchelor is an excellent base from which to explore Litchfield National Park.
Batchelor is home to the Coomalie Cultural Centre. The centre conducts artist’s residencies, exhibitions and cultural projects and operates a retail outlet of art and craft. A bush tucker garden and a mural surround the centre.
